Dr. Dermot Lane is a priest of the Archdiocese of Dublin. He is an author, theologian and retired parish priest of Balally Parish in Dublin 16. His publications include a booklet on Catholic Education in the light of Vatican II and Laudato Si’ (2015). He also has a chapter on “Anthropological and Theological Reflections on Laudato Si” in Laudato Si’: An Irish Response, edited by Sean McDonagh, (2017).
Dr Lane gave a talk on the subject “Some aspects of personal, social and community responsibility in relation to care of the earth” based on the contents of Pope Francis’s Encyclical Laudato Si which was held on Tuesday 26 March 2019 in the Three Patrons Church Rathgar.
