A number of churches are holding exhibitions during the autumn to raise awareness about environmental issues in the run up to the UN climate summit in Copenhagen in December.
The Church of the Ascension of the Lord, Balally, Dublin, is hosting an exhibition with climate change posters and booklets. The United Methodist and Presbyterian congregation of Christ Church, Sandymount, Dublin, held an exhibition during their harvest festival. They also ran a Fairtrade café and a car boot sale, which helped raise over €1,000 for Christian Aid.
Trocaire has a large climate change exhibition which churches are welcome to borrow (but must be able to transport it to and from the Trocaire offices in Maynooth).
If you prefer to run something on a smaller scale, both Trocaire and Christian Aid are happy to provide suitable materials, including posters, booklets and postcards. See
