The challenges facing humanity on an international, regional and local level will be addressed at a Partnership for Change conference in Cork on 14th November. International experts, speakers and panellists will advise on tackling climate change and planning for an uncertain future.
In an era where the world faces unprecedented challenges due to the effects of climate change, scientific experts, professional institutions, business sectors, governments and individuals are mobilising on an international scale to deal with today’s problems and prepare for a tomorrow of new paradigms.
Speakers at the conference will include Dr James Hansen, Director, NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies; Dr R K Pachauri, chairman, United Nations IPCC, Minister John Gormley TD, Minister for Environment, Heritage and Local Government; and Dr Vicky Pope, head of Climate Change Advice, Met Office, UK.
Proceeds from the conference, to be held in Cork International Airport Hotel, will be donated to assist humanitarian, medical and environmental organisations working to help people in developing countries who live in absolute poverty and at immediate risk from climate chaos.
