Enough Food for Everyone IF campaign ~ Belfast G8 action June 15

One in eight people on this planet lives with the pain of hunger. A shocking – and challenging – statistic!

And yet our planet provides enough food for everyone. It’s unfair, it’s unjust, and it’s totally preventable. We can push world leaders to end this injustice by tackling four big IFs …

IF we call for action on tax, aid, land and transparency at the G8.

In June the G8 world leaders are in Northern Ireland. We have the opportunity to influence some of the world’s most powerful politicians and demand they take action to tackle the root causes of global hunger.

IF we act together we can be the generation that gives everyone a life free from hunger. Join thousands of campaigners in Belfast on Saturday 15 June 2013 ahead of the G8 summit for an amazing day of campaigning. This will be a chance for the people of Northern Ireland to show their support for the campaign and help tackle the scandal of hunger.

It promises to be great fun too with a great line-up of acts, including the Ulster Orchestra, Flash Harry, SOAK, David C. Clements and the Belfast Community Gospel Choir.

Trócaire and Christian Aid have joined with more than 100 other organisations to launch the ‘ENOUGH FOOD FOR EVERYONE – IF’ campaign. Visit Enoughfoodif.org to find out more and to book tickets.
