Economics of climate change in the face of inaction

The economic impact of climate change – and the business opportunities it presents – were outlined by British industry experts at Sustainable Business – The Event.

Adrian Wilkes, chief executive of the Environmental Industries Commission, spoke about how Europe could benefit from being the first mover in environmental technologies, as global industry struggles to keep up with ever-tougher standards required by governments around the world.

Stephanie Meier, head of research at the Ethical Investment Research Service, spoke about appealing to investors and talked about the financial implications of inaction in the face of climate change.
