Oblate parishes celebrate Creation Time by holding seminars and using special liturgies

The Oblate Parishes in Inchicore, Dublin, celebrated Creation Time by holding two seminars and a special liturgy on Sunday 2nd October.

The first seminar, The State of Our Planet, was given by Kevin Mc Loughlin OMI; the second, Our Daily Bread – Food in God’s Creation, by Margaret Twomey RSM. Both talks helped participants come to a greater understanding of their relationship with all of God’s creation.

The Sunday liturgies, which were planned by the Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation committee, focussed on the theme Bread of Life. Autumnal arrangements were displayed in each church. Fruits of the earthy were brought to the altar at the offertory and the readings, hymns and prayers of the faithful were all on the theme of creation.

Posters and powerpoint presentations were used to help raise awareness on the theme The Bread of Creation.
