Church Action Pack on climate change

A Church Action Starter Pack for church communities interested in learning about – and taking action – on climate change has been launched by the environmental charity, Operation Noah. It is designed for communities who want to learn more and then take action.

Operation Noah believes that, in the run up to the monumentally important Copenhagen climate change negotiations in December, it is imperative that as many churches as possible mobilise and engage on climate change issues and recognise the important role they can play as community leaders on this issue.

To this end, it has produced resources suitable for all the different sectors of the church community, including a Between the Flood and the Rainbow workbook and God Is Green DVD. Also, liturgical resources and theological reflections for clergy and material for youth groups and Sunday Schools as well as specific ARK campaign actions, including a petition, a building competition and ideas for events.

Resource packs cost £20 and can be purchased by contacting Operation Noah, 28 Charles Square, London N1 6HT. (+44) 20 7324 4761. For further details see operationnoah.org.
