Let’s stop Cancun being a COP out!

From the icy cold disappointment of Copenhagen to the sunny beaches of renewed optimism in Cancun the results, or failures, of the Conference of the Parties (COP)16 are likely to dominate the news at the end of 2010.
The run into the 16th session of COP has not been as optimistic as the lead up to COP15 in Copenhagen.

However, now more than ever people are seeing the devastation wrought by climate change with floods devastating Pakistan and China, fires caused by a heatwave in Russia and other environmental issues across the world.

A One COP Shop website to keep people informed about what’s happening in Cancun has been set up by edie.net. See See http://www.edie.net/ms/cop/.
Edie also has a group for people interested in COP16, which allows people to leave comments and demand action from their national leaders.
