Latest News from Kirkinriola Parish, Ballymena, Co Antrim

Donna McCormick sent us this latest news:

Thanks to funding from “Live Here Love Here” and volunteers from across the local communities, the parishioners of Ballymena and Ahoghill have been enjoying the new Care for Creation sites and are also looking forward to the blossoming of the thousands of bulbs that were planted over the winter at five different locations, including St Mary’s RC Church, Ahoghill, parish grounds at Kenbaan, St Patrick’s RC Church and nearby Crebilly Cemetery,  and St Patrick’s COI Church and Graveyard at Ballyclug.

New benches and prayer corners were created and laminated prayer posters erected around the new Care for Creation sites, enabling people to wander or sit on the new garden benches and pray or meditate on the wonder of God’s Creation. They have been designed to be fully accessible for wheelchair users, including the planters.

Within All-Saint’s Church, the “Care for Creation” noticeboard continues to promote prayer and relevant information, with new fortnightly updates, both local and worldwide.
