Friends of the Earth is holding a National Activism Gathering in Waterford from 24th to 26th September. All are welcome to attend the event, which will include panel discussions, workshops and plenty of socialising.
Sessions will include the following topics – “How people win campaigns”, “How to talk to a climate sceptic”, “How many postcards does it take to change the law?”, “Why offsetting is off limits”, “Ideas for local action” and “How to lobby your TD”.
This is an opportunity for supporters to find out about Friends of the Earth campaigns and how they can get more involved. It’ll be a great chance to meet and chat with the staff and to get to know other people interested in doing something for the environment.
The price of the weekend is €50 for members and €70 for non-members, which includes food and accommodation in Waterford.
