Eco Congregation England & Wales is hosting a ‘Growing Organically’ conference in Birmingham on 18th September.
The conference, which is aimed at those with an interest in the management of churchyards, will be an opportunity to look at practical expressions of creation care.
James Jones, the Bishop of Liverpool, and Sir Ghillean Prance, Science Director of the Eden Project and ex-Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, will be the keynote speakers.
The conference will include workshops on important wildlife groups in the churchyard, practical management issues to make the most of our churchyards and some thinking on why Christians should have a particular concern for “God’s acre”.
‘Growing Organically’ takes place on Saturday 18th September from 10am to 4.30pm in Carrs Lane URC Church Centre, Birmingham, 5 minutes walk from Birmingham New St Station.
