The Cork Cathedral Family of Parishes Climate Justice Group is delighted to report that the assessors from ECI have recommended that our work merits an ECI AWARD.
We are delighted with this good news, as we have worked solidly over the past four years in the spirit of ECI. Our walk began using the Eco-Congregation “How Can I Green my Church”
We were inspired to start our Eco-Congregation Journey by our participation in the Blue Planet Course conducted by SMA Wilton Climate Justice group in 2018. Our vision is the celebration of God’s creation, the care for it in the life and mission of the parish and in members’ personal lifestyle.
With the recent lifting of the Covid Restrictions we hope to celebrate this stage on our eco journey in early Spring. We thank ECI for their wonderful support and look forward to progressing our work with ECI in 2022.
