A climate change risk assessment workshop for Northern Ireland stakeholder groups will take place in September.
This will provide an opportunity for Northern Ireland stakeholders to meet and share information and views on risks, vulnerabilities and what matters to them.
As part of the first stage of the UK Climate Change Risk Assessment (UKCCRA), 11 sector reports were produced by experts in their respective fields. These identified the potential impacts of climate change on each sector based on a review of literature and discussion with consultees.
During May each sector report was reviewed to validate and improve accuracy, expose differences of opinion, identify gaps and help to prioritise which impacts should be analysed further. NI sector contacts contributed to this review process.
Further work is being undertaken to identify cross-sectoral impacts and detailed analysis will be undertaken to investigate some of these impacts further.
