Westport Eco Congregation were delighted to be successful in receiving a grant from ECI towards the purchase of bird and bat boxes. These boxes were made locally and will be used in the Aughavale group of parishes – Holy trinity Westport, Christ Church Castlebar, St Thomas’s Dugort Achill and Turlough Church. 

The Season of Creation was celebrated in Westport.  Westport Eco Congregation erected a display at the rear of St Marys Church.  This years Season of Creation Prayer was displayed along with practical actions people could take or engage in to lower their Carbon Footprint.  We will conclude the Season with Blessing of the Animals at Murrisk car park 2 pm October 5th.

Westport Eco Congregation carried out a beach clean in September as part of Clean Coasts campaign– we were delighted to report that we did not find a huge amount of rubbish on the piece of coast we cleaned!
