Rachel Quigley sent ECI this report:
On Sunday 14th November 2021 Lowe Presbyterian Church in Finaghy held a Climate Sunday Service. We were delighted to have big turnout to this evening service, with our regular congregation and a lot of new faces too. After COP 26 I think we all needed a bit of encouragement and there was a real sense of God’s presence as we listened to our excellent guest speaker, Rev Dr Allen Sleith and worshipped God together. As part of our service we welcomed the ECI Climate Justice Candle and were fortunate to have Lowe Member and ECI representative, Joe Furphy, to explain its symbolism and significance. It really was wonderful to see God’s people come together with a common concern for His Creation and very real consequences of climate change.
