Donna McCormick sent ECI this update:
The new eco-garden and trees planted at Crebilly Church in the parish of Kirkinriola in Ballymena was plain lawn before, but has been for the past year developed (as much as Covid19 restrictions allowed) in response to Laudato Si and Eco-Congregation Ireland. The bulbs and saplings that were planted last year as part of the parish eco group’s work to help with conservation and biodiversity within the parish, are now starting to bloom. Pussy willow buds are growing, an important early source of pollen and nectar for many insects.
The new bulbs and saplings that were planted last autumn by a small parish eco group for wildlife; have started to bloom. The grounds of the former Kenbann House, are now an oasis for birds and small wildlife within the town of Ballymena.
