The children of Rathfarnham Quaker Meeting enjoyed planting sunflower seeds for Earth Day. First they made biodegradable pots out of old newspapers. In a few weeks’ time, they are holding a cake/book/plant sale after meeting for worship when they will sell the sunflower plants to members of the Meeting, like they did last year. They hope to raise funds for the environmental charity VITA.
