As part of National Bike Week 2017 Westport Eco-Congregation held a ‘Cycle to Mass and parish picnic’. Parishioners were encouraged to cycle to mass and service in Holy Trinity and St. Marys Churches to reduce their carbon footprint. After 12pm mass in St. Marys Church, cycling parishioners gathered at the front of the church. From there they were guided on a cycle around the town by Westport Eco-Congregation and Smarter Travel members. The cycle finished at Holy Trinity church where refreshments were provided and a bike maintenance workshop was given.
Also as part of the Westport Flower Festival 2017, an arrangement of organic home grown flowers were displayed in Holy Trinity. Big plans are afoot for Season of Creation in Westport, County Mayo! Keep up to date with their plans on Facebook.
