Our Annual Review 2015 is now online!
It includes our highlights for 2015, including presenting awards to Cabra West Parish, Dublin, and Ballineaspaig Parish, Cork.
Other highlights included:
- A climate justice event we co-hosted with Raphoe Justice, and Peace Group in Letterkenny where leading climate scientist, Prof John Sweeney, was keynote speaker
- Creation Time celebrated by churches throughout Ireland from 1st September to 4th October
- National Day of Prayer for the COP21 UN Climate Summit
- Ecumenical Prayer Service for COP21 in the presence of President Michael D Higgins co-hosted with Trócaire and Christian Aid
- Participation in Stop Climate Chaos and People’s Climate events and campaigns
- Launch of our ‘Shine a Light on Climate Justice’ initiative, which sees a specially-commissioned climate justice candle travel around Ireland for a year visiting a different church each week.
It is hoped that ‘Shine a Light on Climate Justice’ will help raise awareness of the urgent need for climate justice and encourage more churches to take eco-friendly steps – spiritual, practical, community and global.
