Ballineaspaig Parish in Cork is holding a Lent series focussed on environmental issues, which promises to be thought-provoking and promises to give rise to lively and worthwhile discussion and action.
Dr John Feehan – geologist, author and award-winning environmental communicator – will speak on the topic Finding God in the Singing Heart of the World on 24th February.
On 3rd March Ballineaspaig Parish’s Faith in Action Group will lead an evening on the theme Our Carbon Calculator.
On 10th March Bishop Harrington, retired Bishop of Turkana, and Gerard Forde of the SMA Justice Office, will address the topic Climate Change and the Environment.
On the final evening – 24th March – Ballineaspaig Parish’s Faith in Action Group will lead an evening on the theme What Can We Do? Spirituality in Action.
Each event will take place from 8pm until 9.30pm in The Crypt of the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, Dennehy’s Cross.
