Are you confused about the issue of fracking? Would you like to learn more? Or would you like to get a discussion going about the issue in your local church or community?
You might like to view the brand new film ‘Fracking in Fermanagh’, which includes interviews with a range of community members, including farmers, doctors, tourism providers and fishermen, on the possible consequences of fracking. The film was made by young people from the Fermanagh area and the film premiere took place to a packed auditorium in Enniskillen on June 4.
The film-makers also interviewed medical and farming representatives from Canada where substantial fracking has already taken place, as well as international environmental commentators.
The film, which was part-funded by Fermanagh District Council, was facilitated by Enniskillen’s Development Media Workshop, a not-for-profit organisation that focusses on social development and environmental issues. You can view the film here – www.frackinginfermanagh.info (donations are welcome)!
Alternatively, you can order a DVD of the film from Development Media Workshop by emailing[email protected] with your postal address and by making a PayPal donation through the www.frackinginfermanagh.info. Suggested donation €10.
