Cultivate is offering plenty of opportunities to learn re permaculture in 2013. Permaculture is environmental design which develops agricultural systems modelled from natural ecosystems
For those looking to get better acquainted with permaculture, you can sign up to a FETAC Level 5 accredited Spring Permaculture Design course running in Cloughjordan for three weekends spread over 9 March to 28 April 2013.
August will see Cultivate’s 5th annual 72-hour, full Permaculture Design Certificate course (UK Permaculture Association certified), from 9 to 18 August 2013. Enjoy a 10-day ‘holiday’ fully immersed in Ireland’s ecovillage, and led by Albert Bates, from The Farm in Tennessee who recently won the Gaia Trust’s Gaia Award 2012.
Another way to earn the UK Permaculture Design Certificate is to complete the weekend Permaculture Design course above and the Applied Permaculture (FETAC L5) course in the Autumn (details coming soon).
A one-day Permaculture Taster workshop, hosted by Davie Philip of Cultivate and Cloughjordan Ecovillage, will take place on Saturday 9 February 2013 from 10.00 – 16.30.
Using an active learning approach, the workshop will give an introduction to permaculture design principles and outline how these can be applied to your own life and work.
