Maghera Parish, Co Londonderry, is opening its grounds to create an organic green space!
Plans are underway to convert the space known as the rectory walled garden into an amenity for members of the local community.
The vision is to incorporate allotments, a heritage fruit tree orchard, an outdoor gym/play area, a Swedish barbecue area and an interpretive path/feature highlighting the significance of Celtic spirituality in the Maghera area.
“We see this as providing a creative holistic approach to Christian mission through the creation of community, helping people engage with the environment in a sustainable, creative and responsible way,” says Maghera Rector, Rev Isaac Hannah.

We await with anticipation future reports and photos of this exciting project!
