You can learn how to make your own Christmas cards by signing up to a five-week course at the Emmaus Retreat Centre in Swords, Co Dublin.
Participants will learn how to design and make their own unique Christmas cards and crafts using a variety of techniques including stamping, embossing and decoupage. The classes are designed to accommodate all levels of experience from the beginner to those who like to try new techniques.
Course facilitator, Ann McFadden, has been teaching crafts to adults and children for the past 15 years. In 2006 Ann and her husband established the Tobersool Cultural Centre and she teaches crafts and Irish Dancing classes there daily. Ann regularly provides craft classes in public libraries and to various women`s groups and organisations throughout the country. She has exhibited at many craft fairs including the National Craft Fair in the RDS. The crafts that may be provided include card crafts, embossing, encaustic art, silk and glass painting, Christmas decorations.Dates: 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd November 2011. Time: 10.30am – 12.00.
