an taisce spring cleanHaving achieved the highest participation levels to date in last year’s campaign, sights are being set even higher for the 2011 Spring Clean. Last year over 525,000 volunteers participated in 5362 clean-up events throughout the country. This year can YOU help make the event even bigger and better?

Picking up litter is such a simple way to make a difference and show that you care for the environment.

It couldn’t be easier! Simply pick a date and time and register your event at http://www.nationalspringclean.org/index.php?pagetype=home. An Taisce will send you posters to advertise your event as well as gloves, tabards, bags and pickers. They’ll also arrange for the waste to be collected.

Rathfarnham Quaker Meeting and Rathfarnham Parish Eco Group in Dublin are joining forces to organise a combined community clean-up. If you’d like to join in, simply turn up outside the Church of Ireland, Main Street, Rathfarnham, or Rathfarnham Quaker Meeting House, 62 Crannagh Road, at 12 noon on Sunday 15th May. All welcome!
