Earth Hour was organised by the World Wildlife Fund in 2007 as a way to bring attention to energy consumption, sustainability, and climate change issues. This year, participants in 134 countries darkened homes, skyscrapers, and landmarks around the world.

Earth Hour shows the world that a solution to the world’s environmental challenges is possible if we work on them together. Our actions add up to a big impact!

Earth Hour is a global grass-roots movement encouraging individuals, businesses and governments around the world to take positive actions for the environment, and celebrating their commitment to the planet by switching off their lights for one designated hour.
