Quaker children make a beautiful mandala (circle of wholeness) with natural materials

The children of Churchtown Quaker Meeting, Dublin, made a beautiful autumn mandala (circle of wholeness), using leaves, chestnuts, pine cones and other natural materials they collected.

DSC02679Sunday School children of all ages took part in the reflective activity, which was carried out in silence as participants were encouraged to bear in mind someone they knew who needed help and support.

The youngest members made the arrow in the corridor in complete silence.

Churchtown Meeting also held a Sustainable Transport Sunday to coincide with the 10/10/10 Day of Climate Solutions. Adults and children were encouraged to walk or cycle to meeting for worship, or come by public transport.DSC02680DSC02678DSC02683
