The stunning Planet Earth Festival comes to Ireland for the first time this summer. Incorporating the internationally acclaimed Earth from the Air exhibition, this festival, which runs throughout June, July and August, offers families the opportunity to admire the beauty and uniqueness of our environment.
The Earth from the Air exhibition is a collection of large photographs taken by the celebrated French photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand to mark the Millennium and beyond. The photographs have already toured many of the world’s major cities.
The exhibition studies the environment and the impact man has made on it in a series of 120 stunning pictures taken around the world from the air. It will be held in Armagh on Market Square, the Mall and at the Navan Centre.
The Planet Earth Festival also features a wide range of exciting family attractions. Look out for the giant world walk-on map situated on the Mall and travel around the world in a matter of minutes!
Enjoy living history events at Navan Fort, performances at Armagh Planetarium, tours and exhibitions at the Gaol or get rolling in a giant zorb ball. Be dazzled by energetic street theatre or relax with music in Market Square and a delicious food fair.
