Belfast cycling survey

Belfast cyclists – and potential cyclists – are invited to complete a five-minute online questionnaire about their cycling habits. The survey is part of the British Council’s Challenge

Challenge Europe Advocate, Andy McClenaghan, says, “The project is a Europe-wide initiative aimed at providing practical solutions to reduce carbon emissions. Myself and three other volunteers are examining the potential for the introduction of a public hire bicycle scheme in Belfast.

“Public hire bicycle schemes exist in many European cities including Dublin, Paris, Berlin and Cardiff. These schemes can help reduce dependence on the private car by providing citizens with a low cost, carbon neutral transport option which integrates with existing public transport networks.

“Below is a link to a short online survey which we are using to gauge levels of public support for a public hire bicycle scheme in Belfast. It would be very helpful if you could take five minutes to complete it. It would also be great if you could forward the link to any friends or colleagues who you think may be willing to complete the survey.”
