Christian Aid is offering 50 cyclists the opportunity to join in a London to Copenhagen Bike Ride from 9th to 16th December 2009. This will involve 140 miles of cycling through English fields and Danish islands over three days with stop-offs en route.
The Danish capital will be buzzing as thousands of people descend on the city to campaign for climate justice as the UN holds its vital summit on global warming.
Christian Aid is calling for a fair outcome from the Copenhagen summit since it is poor countries that are feeling the effects of climate change hardest. Participants in the Bike Ride will have the chance to add their voice by joining Christian Aid campaigners. The ride is also a chance to raise funds for Christian Aid’s poverty relief work.
