Save the Date! Laudato Sí – Connecting Global and Local Action by Lorna Gold, Trócaire

GCCMThe board of the Global Catholic Climate Movement (GCCM) will be convening in Ireland from 12th-15th February.  This growing global movement, as you probably are aware, came about to bring Pope Francis' vision in Laudato Sí to live in the church. To take advantage of having the board here in Ireland, and to give them a warm Irish welcome, a special meeting on Laudato Sí will be held in Maynooth. At the meeting, participants will be exploring the connections between the inspiring work of GCCM and how they can strengthen links with initiatives happening here in Ireland.

The meeting will take place on Thursday 15th February at 11am in the Columba Centre Library, Maynooth University South Campus, from 11am, ending with mass at 1pm celebrated by Fr. Sean McDonagh for those who wish to attend. The meeting is being co-hosted by the Laudato Sí Working Group of the Irish Bishops Conference and Trócaire. Places are strictly limited to 40, so please register with Susan Cullen or contact Lorna Gold directly for more details.
